Boost GC 500 Weekend
tarted off the weekend ! Ended up p9 in race 1 showing some solid pace.Hoping to claw a few back on Saturday. Massive thanks to my mechanic jade from Townsville Fleet Services today for his efforts as we had 3 very close sessions, and we are chasing a bad vibration in the car so hes done a gearbox swap , tailshaft and few other things in between sessions trying to nut it all out but glad to finish each session strong. Saturday, we started P8 in both races but got tapped from behind, which caused a spin, and an error kept us outside the top 10 in both. And as for the demolition derby race on Sunday—let's just say it shouldn’t have even been called a race.
The big takeaway is that we’re driving better than ever, genuinely keeping pace with the front runners, which is a huge positive. Looking forward to what we can achieve once we're back in the seat full-time. Massive thanks to Jade for all the hard work getting the car back in shape after the Bathurst smash, and to Brian from Bill Blokker Spray Painting for coming on board and joining us this weekend, along with all the sponsors and friends who came out to support us.
As for next year, we’ve got some people interested in supporting us in the Utes, but we're still working on securing enough funding for a full season. We’d love nothing more than to be back in the driver’s seat for a full year.
Our next outing will be with the Seven82Motors. Classics, Lowriders & Muscle Cars. team, racing the Touring Car Masters beast, so we’re looking forward to that challenge too.
See you all soon!
Cheers,
