Dave Casey: “I’m really happy with qualifying, 8th is my best in SuperUtes ever. To come out top-10 with such huge experience in the field is a good indicator if you’re on the pace. The braking performance is better in this new Dmax compared to last year’s car for sure.”
Race 1 kicked off the SuperUtes action on Saturday morning with Dave Casey battling in the Bendix Racing Dmax SuperUte to retain his P8 position from start to finish across the 15-lap race. Race 2 would commence later in the day and feature a reversed-grid start. After another 15 laps of Wanneroo and some hard-fought battles, Dave would bring the Dmax home to another P8 finish.
The green flag would fly on Race 3 in the early hours of Sunday morning. Dave would show consistent pace and after 11 laps, would cross the chequered flag in P8.
